7 Awards
The ESSD 2024 conference is delighted to offer the following 7 award opportunities for abstracts submitted for oral and poster presentation *
All prize-winning abstracts will be selected by members of the Scientific Committee following a review process that will assess originality, innovation, significance to the research community, scientific impact, and technical excellence.
Awards will be announced during the Congress Award and Closing Ceremony.
All the presenters are asked to attend the Congress Closing and Award Ceremony in person for the Award presentation and collection.
Presenting authors of the awarded submissions will receive free registration for the next conference ESSD 2025 and 1st and 2nd best Oral and Poster awards will also receive financial rewards.
One presenting author can only be nominated in one of the awards categories

Best Oral & Poster presentation prize (1st, 2nd 3rd)
To recognize and acknowledge top-level and significant contributions to the field, the scientific committee will evaluate all submitted Oral & Poster Presentations and will select the 3 best Oral and Poster presentations.
1st time
First-time oral presentation
To promote the contributions of new voices in the field of swallowing disorders, the scientific committee will select the best Oral presentation for first-time oral presenters. To qualify for the prize, applicants should indicate their interest in the Award section of the submission portal when submitting their abstract. Additionally, they should not have previously been listed as the presenting author at previous ESSD Annual meetings.
